Where Are They Now?

Zach attended Wheaton College, IL, and graduated magna cum laude May ’11 with a B.A. in Sociology: Social Justice and Inequality and a minor in Political Science. During college he performed with an improvisational comedy troupe which placed 2nd in the Chicago regionals of the College Improv Tournament 2010-2011. He is currently working at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in the Department of Pediatrics as Special Assistant to the Chair and Faculty. It is his 6th consecutive time working for USUHS, comprised mostly of summer employment beginning after his Junior year of WCA. Previously, he had worked for USUHS as a laboratory technician, working with neuroblastoma and leukemia.  USUHS was also the site of his thesis internship during his Senior year. He has been accepted to the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences for their Doctor of Medicine program, and will commence study in August of 2012 with the intent to pursue a residency in Pediatrics following medical school.


Luke received his B.S. in Biology and Psychology from Georgetown University in 2009, after completing a research thesis on bottlenose dolphin social interactions in Shark Bay, Western Australia.  Upon graduation he took a commission from the U.S. Navy and is currently a third year medical student at Georgetown University School of Medicine as part of the Navy’s Health Professions Scholarship Program.  He is currently pursuing a Navy residency in general surgery.

Michael is a Sophomore at Baylor University majoring in Communication Specialist, an interdisciplinary program of Speech Communication and Film & Digital Media.  He works with K-Life Ministries, a youth ministry which mentors and disciples teens in Waco, Texas.

Stacy graduated from James Madison University in 2008 with degrees in Spanish and Psychology. After graduation, she moved to Guatemala to work for the Peace Corps for a bit, then moved to Portland, Oregon for a year and worked for an Americorps program at a Latino Health Clinic. For the past year she has been living in Colorado working as an Outdoor Education Instructor. Stacy is engaged to Jeff Joyce and plans to move to Virginia in the near future to get married and pursue her master’s degree in Adult Education.

Lily currently dances for the Pennsylvania Ballet as a Corps de Ballet company member. Living in Philadelphia, she is also pursuing a B.S. at the University of Pennsylvania.

Anita Osire graduated from Duke University in 2010, with a BA in Sociology. Since graduation she has worked in a number of health related settings including Futures Group International, and The Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center. Currently she is working at Johns Hopkins University as a Research Assistant on a Lung Cancer Study.

The McGoffs have been a WCA family for the past 23 years.  Several of the children are professional musicians, and the whole family has traveled extensively across the world.
